Detective Comics #27 Special Edition (Batman 75 Day Comic 2014) (2014- ) #1

Great book! Took me back to my childhood. Reminds me a whole lot why I fell in love with The Bat-Man. Really enjoyed the old version next to the updated version. And then leaving one to speculate the future of Batman. I would recommend this book to any Batman fan. It will refresh your memories and create new ones.

Wow, just wow. This story has never taken me deeper into the mind of batman. After all the years he fights for Gotham. His mind changes now into this lock of renewing himself over and over again for the benefit of others. And because he's stubborn, he never wants to let go of justice and being there for the people.

A great tribute to the 75th Anniversary of the Dark Knight. For free you get the original Dectective Comic #27 complete with a proper credit for writer Bill Finger. You also get a look at the possible future of Batman with a story by Scott Snyder and Sean Phillips. The only problem with that story is you'll want to see more of those future Batman. Last and definitely least, is a retelling of that first Batman story by Brad Meltzer and Bryan Hitch. It's funny how the introduction talks about how the original Case of the Chemical Syndicate is a little dated, because the remake feels even moreso. There's no sense if this is still supposed to be Batman's first case or just another one, and the internal narration gets really overbearing. Also, I'm not sure what's going on at the end. Is he implying that this is an origin story for the Joker or some other villian? Kinda baffeling if that's the case. Anyway, skip that story and you should be fine.
