This is a good Dyson vacuum. It picks up very well, easy to use throughout the house and car, and has great attachments. I recommend this vacuum if you are want to try this brand without dropping too much money. The downsides are that the charge is only around 30 mins, shorter if you use the max suction setting, and it takes 3 hours to charge, and the dust bin is small so you will have to dump frequently.

I have another Dyson, a V7 Animal. It was similar in attachments but for the difference in the powered brush. The V7 Animal uses a "hard" brush setup while the V7 Fluffy uses a, well, "fluffy" brush. I don't see any great improvement in the ability to lift and store animal fur using the "fluffy" brush as was promised. The design of the brush does not accommodate the lack of pulling power of the motor (on the normal setting) and, therefore, some of the debris on hard surfaces, whether fur or othewise, is either left behind or shuttled to the sides of the "fluffy" apparatus. If I use the "max" power mode the "fluffy" attachment does a much better job of shuttling debris into the canister. But, with only an approximate 6 minute run time on "max" I don't have enough battery to vacuum all of my hard floors and rugs in my upstairs area. Also, the "fluffy" brush is almost useless on the surface of our short nap rugs. I have found that I am now using both attachments to complete my vacuuming over the combined hard/soft surfaces.Read full review

This was simple to assemble and works very well in general. IT IS SUPER LIGHT and gets into small spaces on carpet, and hard floors. It does have a short battery life at full power .. about 20 minutes. It works best when kept clean, including filters. Overall, this is a well engineered product.

The Dyson Fluffy cordless is so easy to use. It is so quiet compared to our old vacuum. It is best to use the economy power setting. It is sufficient for most uses, the max setting needs a battery charge after a few minutes. The process to empty the container is simple. The attachments are great for other uses like cleaning the car. Our house has tile floors so the roller head is perfect unlike a beater bar which just spins the particles around.

This vacuum meets my expectations. We have engineered vinyl plank throughout most of our living areas, so I wanted a vacuum that will not scratch into the protective finish. That is essentially what sold me on this over the duoclean system from Shark. The comb brush on the duocleans are pretty stiff, and you can't shut that part off completely, so I would not be comfortable using that daily on our floors. Performance: It gets stuff off the floor very well. We had done a little dry wall work and I broom swept up what I could. There was a fine dust left behind. The Dyson got the dust off the floor. That was impressive. The "fluffy" roller really does a great job. Power: Adequate. I thought we might buy the other head attachment for doing carpet but I don't think this could really do a good job on carpet. At the price point, I think one is better off going a step up or two with Dyson's lineup if you want to also clean carpets. Sadly, we will have to keep a second vacuum for doing bedrooms. Battery: I'm able to vacuum approximately 700 sq feet and still have battery left. I'm happy with this. That said, Dyson dropped the ball on their battery design. Everything is snap and go on this stick...except the battery. Had Dyson made the battery clip on and off like tool manufacturers have been doing, people like me would buy a second stand alone charger and second battery. Tool manufacturers have known for YEARS batteries get consumer buy in . This is a significant faux pas. Add to that they use different batteries for different models...this was dumb. Really dumb. Now if another manufacturer offers the one thing I'm looking for - a fluffy only roller - and easy battery swap out...they'll be getting my business instead. Wall hanging: I like this overall. A better design would have been simply seating it firmly onto the wall hanger. Lift and pull straight out. As designed, one must swing it out to remove and swing it in to plug in. Many people are mounting this in their closets. Having room to swing means taking up a larger foot print than is necessary. Overall, I am happy with this Dyson. I'm just befuddled by some of their design choices.Read full review
